“My three oldest friends and I had been saving for five years to go on a trip together to celebrate turning 50. We were looking for something unique to do together and we wanted to go somewhere none of us had been. One day an advert for the Big Red Bash popped up on my friend's Facebook page and within a day we had tickets to go to the rock concert in Birdsville. Perfect! Just up our alley. Now we just needed to get there. It looked quite straight forward online. Fly to Adelaide. Hire an RV and drive to Birdsville. Little did we know it just wasn't that simple. We could only hire a 4WD for the trip to Birdsville. In April, Britz ceased hiring 4WDs out of Adelaide. None of the other providers were able to meet our needs. Where you could pick up and drop off the vehicle was very limited, there were surcharges and all sorts of insurance excesses and rules that we didn't understand. After consulting with the 4BIRDS2BIRDSVILLE crew, I asked Helen from Travel Managers to help us out. She was fantastic and quickly began researching what we could and couldn't do, and as importantly, came up with some innovative ways to get our $7000 excess on the vehicle down to nothing and ensure we were all personally covered for the trip. This was very important to us when we handed back the vehicle with a badly cracked and chipped windscreen and there was no charge. It was a huge piece of mind to know that Helen's expertise was helping to give us the best result in terms of organising everything we needed in a vehicle and ensuring that all the other terms of conditions had been read and considered. Towards the end of the booking process we realised that we need another day's car hire and Helen worked with the third party provider to secure that for us. It was a big deal because it was not initially available to us. In fact I doubt we would have successfully been able to hire a 4WD at all for this period had we not had Helen's network of suppliers because we were continually being told there was nothing available. Helen then organised return flights to Alice Springs and one night's accommodation as part of that deal. We were just so excited that we could go on this outback adventure together and do it the way we wanted to. The 4WD was almost new and was packed with a fridge and all of the cooking and sleeping equipment we needed. It had a bed on the roof and another tent attached to it underneath. We had the best time ever. We saw the most amazing scenery and wildlife on both the Oodnadatta and Birdsville tracks, met some true characters of the outback and most importantly had a safe, happy and really fun time together to celebrate 40 years of friendship. Oh, and the Big Red Bash was a blast as well! Thank you so much Helen.”

“We were put on to Helen from a friend of ours and ever since then which is approximately 7 years we have used Helen, extensively and exclusively as our travel agent. From our trips to Canada, America and Europe she has been a godsend and a fountain of knowledge. Our last trip was a trip through Europe for 8 weeks. From London - Budapest - Dubai and places in between nothing was a problem for Helen, the boutique hotels she choose for us were sensational, the tours organised in particular our WW1 tour through the Somme was both enlightening and emotional. Even our VFT train trips through Europe which she had organised using Eurail passes took the pressure off us, all we had to do was get to the station on time, and even then all we had to do was check out of our hotel and there would be our car ride waiting to take us to the station. We would have no hesitation in recommending Helen for any trip, in fact I think that you are doing yourself a disservice if you don't seriously consider Helen for all your travel needs ”
