National Zoological Gardens of South Africa
Located in Pretoria and housing more than 700 species over 9100 animals, the National Zoological Gardens is the largest zoo in South Africa. Unlike other zoos, nearly all the animals were bred and born there. The zoo houses an impressive collection of exotic trees and is surrounded by 6 kilometers of walkways. It’s home to a reptile park and an aquarium, which is the largest of its kind in the country.
Bronx Zoo, New York

It houses approximately 650 different species from around the world with more than 4,000 animals. The zoo offers plenty of exhibits, both indoors and outdoors. A visit to New York should include a walk through this spectacular animal kingdom.
Toronto Zoo
Encompassing 287 hectares, the Toronto Zoo is the largest zoo in Canada. It loves and nurtures over 5,000 animals of 450 different species. The zoo is divided into seven different sections each with their different flare; Indo-Malaya, Africa, Americas, Tundra Trek, Australasia, Eurasian and Canadian.
Toronto Zoo is fantastic in that it offers a friendly kids zoo corner for the little ones to watch and pet the animals.
Singapore Zoo
Singapore Zoo opened in 1973 and is known for its natural, spacious and open exhibits (with hidden barriers of course). It’s home to one of the largest group of orangutans in the world. The zoo offers numerous shows including the orangutan show, elephant show and ‘Splash Safari’ which showcases the zoo’s aquatic animals and birds. More interestingly, in 1977 the zoo became famous when the world saw primatologist Dr. Francine Neago live with eighteen orangutans for six months inside a cage to study their behavior and communication.
