It’s official I have now reached a major career milestone of 50 years in the industry. There have been many interesting experiences along the way. But none more satisfying than my role as an Itinerary Planner working closely with my clients to achieve a wonderful, worry free holiday. During my time I have had many experiences across the Seven Continents of the World. I draw on these experiences every day as my repeat clients will tell you.
Creating the itinerary is just the beginning. My point of difference is the advice and options I provide to help with researching and planning your trip.
My personal highlight writing the “Yellow Guide to Travel”. for the first time traveller, and my passion without doubt is holiday planning and customer satisfaction on their return.
My travel has been extensive and varied. Travelling to most continents of the world my experience includes safari’s in South Africa, Driving tours through Namibia. Visiting Golf venues in Sun City and Windhoek. Sleeping in a Tree house in Hwange, and witnessing the Elephant population in Botswana.
My visits to Antarctica and South America provided opportunities to view up close floating icebergs, glaciers, Penguins, prolific bird life, seals. Visiting the Falkland Islands. Taking an apartment in RIO, and experiencing the Iguazu Falls bordering Brazil and Argentina.
To North America and Niagara Falls, Canada and the famous Rockies. Alaska the Inside Passage. Australia – Cruising the Kimberley, taking a Harley around Uluru, Floriade and War Memorial in Canberra, Cruising from the Murray to the Mediterranean. Camping from Gippsland to the Atherton Tablelands. Visits to Italy – Rome, Venice, Tuscany, staying in Villa’s in Florence and Lake Como. Historic tours of Pompeii in Italy to Ephesus in Turkey. Escorted trips to Gallipoli, and the Battle fields of France. Fun and laughter in Ireland, and self drive tours of the UK. On to Asia with visits to Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, The Philippines, Singapore, Hongkong, Thailand. China-the entombed warriors of Xian, The Great Wall, Shanghai. There have been many highlights.
Itinerary Planning, working with you to design a travel program that meets both your budget and time frame criteria. Providing safety and security tips to ensure your holiday is hassle free. Making sure you carry correct entry documentation. Interpreting your air tickets, and ensuring correct content in your holiday vouchers. Providing comprehensive travel insurance information with online pre existing medical checks. It’s the little things that make the difference.
For the first time traveller looking at a new destination you need to be comfortable in being able to ask the questions. Decipher the myriad of advice you receive from well meaning friends or mixed messages from the internet. One phone call gives you access to your own Personal Travel Manager. I look forward to hearing from you. It is true what they say. WITHOUT A TRAVEL AGENT YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. Make sure you choose the right one.
