Often in life’s journey you meet people who just have the knack for pulling together a group and heading off towards a common objective. Just like group travel, your tour manager has to have the ability to keep the days activities on track and on time and without losing any clients along the way!
Recently, I was reading something about Punta Raisi, a town on the outskirts of Palermo in Sicily which is where the Falcone-Borsellino main airport is located. It reminded me about my grandfather’s involvement in building that airport in the late 50’s – early 60’s so one thought led to another and before I knew it, I had written two article relating to his story and Palermo. I decided to have only one published in an Italian travel website – Discover Places – whilst the other one I may include it in a future genealogy based book I am collating for the family!
If you are considering a trip to Sicily sometime in the near future, please drop me a line or call me and I would be delighted to help you create a memorable trip for you and your family or friends.
