Have you heard of ‘having a true passion for travel’? That is exactly what I have and I firmly believe it is so good for both our wellbeing and our soul! Travel has challenged my perceptions of the world we live in and I have developed a sense of how life changing it can truly be. For me, it’s always a pleasure to plan and arrange travel so I am one of those individuals that really loves what they do for a living.
I started working in my teens at a family owned and run travel agency at Katoomba in the beautiful Blue Mountains of NSW. Over seven years there I fine tuned my customer service skills and knowledge and take much pride in my ability to provide personalised and detailed planning of all things travel. I also received some amazing professional opportunities such as educational trips to Europe and Canada (to mention a few) but definite highlights were participating in a travel agent exchange program in South Africa and undertaking an inspiring Inca Trail trek.
The time came for me to take off and see some of the world for myself so together with my back pack and my sense of humour I spent six months meeting people from all over this amazing world of ours. I visited parts of America, Canada and Europe and decided to spend a summer replenishing my funds in the gorgeous Florence, Italy (still one of most favourite cities!) I ended up falling in love with more than just the city and spent four years there with a very special someone, working in the San Lorenzo markets selling leather goods, and continued to travel around Italy and Europe whenever we could. In 2009 we decided to travel the long way back home to Australia and went via Brazil so I could meet my new family before arriving back in Sydney to marry and start a new whole part of my life.
I continued to work in travel and spent four years with Italy travel wholesaler, CIT Holidays, before moving back to retail travel with another family owned and run travel agency in Haberfield (part of Sydney’s wonderful ‘little Italy’ area) where I really put my Italian language skills and experience back into practice. I loved once again dealing directly with all sorts of people with all sorts of travel needs and so now I offer my services as a personal Travel Manager right from my home in Erskineville just for you.
I have stayed in luxury hotels, been on some of the best train trips the world has on offer, bunked down in great backpacker hostels, traveled on Contiki Tours with friends, traveled independently and as a couple, and I’m still loving travelling now as a young family. Whatever travel means to you, whether it be for business or pleasure, lets sort it all out together or let me do all it all for you – be involved as much or as little as you like.
