It’s hard not to feel extremely grateful when I look at this world map.
I am very thankful I have been able to explore so much of the world already and have so many wonderful experiences. I’m also fortunate to have been able to travel in so many different ways and with different people – with family, with friends and by myself – making each trip even more interesting.
And it is crazy to think if COVID hadn’t shut down the World, there would be quite a few countries in South America coloured blue right now, as well as India and Malaysia. But we can’t dwell on what could have been, we must look to the future and all the amazing adventures we are still to have.
Every travel experience I have is research for me. It’s learning about new countries and their cultures; inspecting hotels so I know they are up to scratch; testing out transfer and tour companies to ensure they are safe; working out the best way to get around to save you time and money; trying out different cabins on cruise ships so I can confidently compare them; tasting authentic dishes and finding the best local restaurants so you can enjoy your meals stress-free. It’s all knowledge and it helps me make the best recommendations for you, my clients.
Of course, I haven’t been everywhere (yet!), but that’s why I have access to an almost endless wealth of knowledge from my colleagues and industry partners. If I haven’t been myself, chances are someone who has is only a call or email away.
The biggest takeaway I have from the last 12 months, is that nothing is promised. We have to do the things that bring us joy while we can, as soon as we can. It’s time to make those bucket list dreams a reality, whatever they may be. I can’t wait to put all my expertise to good use and get you away on your long-awaited trip.
This planet is full of exciting places to explore, there’s no time to be bored in a world so beautiful.
