My love of travel began at the age of 5, whilst travelling to the UK as an unaccompanied minor, I was asked to help the hosties hand out orange juice! My realcareer in travel started in 1986 working for a major retail travel company and going on to manage one of their most successful shops at the time. During this time I received many industry awards, several of these based on superior quality of service given. I have been incredibly fortunate during my time in the travel industry to have had the opportunity to experience many aspects of travel myself – from luxury rail through the Rockies to backpacking throughout Brazil, to managing a guest lodge in central Zambia, to cruising the islands off the coast of Turkey (to name but a few!)
