Kinrara Expedition

Find your calm and serenity at Kinara Station situated within the 70000 acres Kinrara National Park located 250km South west of Cairns where you will find a luxury tented camp with in this privately own cattle station with no public access. 4WD drive vehicle will safely transport you from Cairns to this remote and breath-taking land with its diverse animal and plant life where you can experience a real working cattle station. Hike, swim in crystal clear water, kayak, visit the homestead and simple adopt the slower pace of the outback.

With no internet available, you will experience the simplicity of a ‘tech-free’ adventure in a beautiful and truly unique landscape (don’t worry maybe one hour per day is possible) !

Pick up from Cairns on Mondays at 9am , return to Cairns by Friday 2-3pm.

Add 1 night pre-tour accommodation and flights – please contact your personal travel manager to arrange.

Travel Insurance is highly recommended due the remote nature of the property.

Itinerary

Kinrara Expedition Camp
Kinrara Expeditions Kayaking

After picking up in 4WD from Cairns at 9:30am with lunch break, arrive approx 4pm at the camp site followed by a short briefing. Sunset drink and food will be waiting

Start the day with a long breakfast, followed by a medium distance bush walk in the morning and kayaking mid afternoon

4WD convoy to explore the station. depart mid morning, explore cattle yards, windmills, watering points and lava including an outdoor picnic. Return mid afternoon for a swim or kayak before sunset drinks and dinner

Kinrara Expedition Spring flow
Cairns

Embark on a 7.5km hike to a secluded spring oasis. Cool off in the natural spring with a picnic lunch. Hike or drive back after your rest. Farewell dinner

Last morning hike or kayak as well as a hearty breakfast. Depart by 10am to return to Cairns including a lunch stop. Aim is to arrive in Cairns between 2 and 3pm, so guests can meet their departure flight if required.

Day 2 - Relax and Explore

Day 3 - Explore the Expanse

Day 5 - Back to the Big Smoke
