The best part about my job is creating amazing adventures for my clients. There is no one trip that is ever the same. I had a lot of fun creating this family adventure to Tasmania. They wanted a different experience to their previous visits and this time it would be in a different season, Winter!
This Tassie itinerary included Launceston, Cradle Mountain, Strahan, and Stanley, giving them once in a lifetime experiences from a day trip to Ben Lomond Ski Resort, viewing the Fairy penguins coming ashore at night, walking The Nut, and seeing the beauty of the wilderness that is distinctly Tasmania.
So, what did they think of their trip?
It was so amazing. You picked such great hotels.
My most favourite place was Stanley. The cottage was so cute, and we had great weather. We walked up The Nut and around the town. We saw the penguins :) they were so cute. A tip for the penguins is you need a red light, or some red cellophane to use over your torch light.
Strahan was lovely and it worked out well that we didn’t do the railway as my youngest ended up sick that day so couldn’t do much. We did visit Queenstown. The train station cafe has such great food, and my daughter said it was the best burger she’s ever had! Lol, though the road was bendy and did make us sick.
Cradle mountain – the cabins we were in, were very new and just so nice and big! We bought food in the towns before which was good and just ate at the cabin. The tassie devil feeding was good but rained a lot so we left as we were standing in the Rain and was so cold. But we saw the best bit which was great. The girls loved seeing the wombats!
We also went to mole creek caves, a bit of a detour on our way to cradle mountain. We all loved that.
The rainbows in Tassie are just beautiful and rich in colour.
I loved that most of where we went was not busy being winter which was nice. I know when we visited Tassie in summer 2019 it was so nice in summer, so was nice experiencing Tassie in winter also.
Launceston the place we stayed was great, so big! We visited the gorge, such a beautiful park with the bridge and chair lift. The Monkeys were so cute, very random that it was in the park! The snow unfortunately wasn’t great as it had rained, but it was great visiting. Honestly the drive up there was so unexpected. So beautiful but sooooooo steep. That was kind of cool and luckily, we didn’t need chains but I can imagine it would be sketchy going up. You can get a shuttle up, but my husband likes the thrill.
All in all, you did amazing as always, picking great places and setting out the holiday. Thank you sooo much!!!
