Hi! I am Paula.
I first caught the travel bug when I was 18, my cousin and I threw on our backpacks and travelled South East Asia after uni had ended for the year.
Fast forward a few years and I was working in a corporate job and itching to travel. I quit my job, dusted off my backpack and set off on a massive 6 month trip. I had no end date, I used my last bit of savings for a return ticket from Cape Town, Africa.
It’s true when they say “You go away for a long time and return a different person”, I felt this constant desire to be in unfamilar places, with people I didn’t know and learning about all the cultures of the world.
I found my purpose in life the day I became a travel agent, I remember posting on my Instagram the day I got accepted to my first job in travel “its a good thing, when you find your thing” . I can get almost as much satisfaction from researching and booking peoples dreams, as travelling myself.
Through my job I have been able to explore places I would have never imagined going and keep finding new places to put on my bucklist.
I am grateful every day for the opportunity to work in an industry that allows me to share my passion for travel with others. And who knows? Maybe one day I’ll dust off my backpack again and set off on another adventure. But for now, I am content to help others explore the world and find their own sense of adventure.
