An experience to delight the luxury traveller in me, sailing aboard Ponant’s newest beauty, Le Laperouse was all I imagined this French Lux experience to be. From the endless french champagne to Hermes bath products my cruise was magnifique! From the moment I boarded our tender at the Man’O War Steps at the base of the Sydney Opera House I knew this was going to be delightful. No busy cruise terminal or customs lines, this was a delightful Bon Jour, welcome aboard, here’s your flute of champagne, with customs officials on board the Super Yacht ready to finalise embarkation, oh yes this is how the other half live!
As we basked in the afternoon sunset on Sydney Harbour with our sundowners in hand admiring the views of the stunning Sydney skyline, Opera House and Harbour Bridge to our delight we were personally escorted by the local tug for a up close and personal, coastline viewing before sailing out of Sydney Harbour.
Onboard there’s freedom to do whatever you like, lazying by the infinity plunge pool, indulging in a dedadent massage or spa treatment, or watching a movie in the privacy of your own luxury suite.
With an all-inclusive cruise, including minibar (replenished daily) you are truly spoilt for choice. French inspired cuisine and wines including a delectable rose’ I discovered and Cosmo’s I really enjoyed!
Experiencing the world’s first underwater lounge, the Blue Eye, was an experience of the senses. Here you can enjoy a cocktail whilst listening to the sounds of the ocean and watching the ongoings out the two large window ‘eyes’.
