Okay before I get into the details this is by far one of the most amazing countries I’ve ever been too and would recommend it to everyone!!!
So I was fortunate enough for work to send me on an educational trip with other agents from Victoria and Tasmania. Including another amazing PTM Kate Bevan.
It is sooo amazing what you can learn and how you can connect with others who have the same passion for travel and life as you do.
We all started our On The Go tour with a welcome dinner, then the next day we headed off to the Ancient Cities & Roman Ruins, this is on the north side of Amman and they are absolutely incredible. Built over 2,000 years ago!!
We then headed to Mt. Nebo, where you can see the Dead Sea, Jordan river and Bethlehem. From there we went to Petra. This city is just incredible and you need all day just to see the sights, camel rides are a must, and the treasury is spectacular. That night we went to Petra kitchen where you make your own Jordanian feast and what you can’t each (there’s no such thing as a small meal in Jordan) they give to people who can’t afford a meal. Giving back to the people of this amazing country was something I loved being apart of.
We were lucky enough to con our amazing guide into taking us to meet his family. Mohammed was absolutely the best guide I’ve had in a long time. Local knowledge, accommodating and his family were absolutely beautiful. If only everyone got to experience this – unfortunately only the lucky ones manage this.
Next stop was Wadi Rum. The desert is full of amazing colours of red, orange and the sunsets are incredible!! That night we stayed in a desert camp, great facilities and beautiful home cook food.
We then headed to the Dead Sea and for me this was such a highlight. We stayed at a beautiful resort, slathered ourselves in ancient mud to revitalise the skin and soul and floated in the sea whilst reading our books.
I could go on and on about the incredible experiences we had, the kindness and hospitality of the people but we would be here for days!!!
