I recently enjoyed a few days at Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
The water was gorgeous, the beach only a little busy, the international tourists conspicuous in their absence thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic.
I stayed at Q1, the tallest residential tower in the Southern Hemisphere. High up on level 51, the 3-bedroom ocean spa apartment was perfect for our large family gathering.

Breakfast at Skypoint on Level 77 of Q1 was a highlight. Whilst there was no infamous buffet, they have adapted to delicious breakfast towers. These consist of scrumptious pastries, fresh fruit, and as well, you receive cooked hot breakfast. Check out this walk though here.
The views from Skypoint were outstanding, the clear blue sky allowing a brilliant view, stretching the entire Tweed Valley, and all the way to Mount Warning in the distance in the NSW Northern Rivers area.
