About me

Hi! I’m Allison and I am a lifelong travel tragic…

My parents fostered my adventurous spirit from an early age: pulling my brother and I out of primary school to camp our way around Australia for three months. Every holiday was spent 4WD driving around the country and camping in the remote outback. My first plane ride was to South Africa when I was four, followed by Mauritius, Singapore and New Zealand not long after. Fast forward thirty-odd years and I have been lucky enough to travel to over 50 countries on nearly every continent (Antarctica – I’m coming for you next!).

After obtaining a Masters Degree in Tourism in 2011, I have over 10 years experience in the travel industry in a wide range of capacities.

I believe travel is the most powerful avenue to happiness and fulfilment. Not only does it provide education that can never be replicated in a classroom, travel changes the way people see the world and themselves. For me, it is an obsession. I came to the realisation early on that nothing is more thrilling than sharing that passion with others.

Where I've Travelled

• Mountain Gorilla trekking in Rwanda.
• Giraffe Manor in Nairobi, Kenya.
• Hot-air ballooning over the Serengeti (Tanzania), Cappadocia (Turkey) and the Valley of the Kings (Egypt).
• Helicopter rides over Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe), Franz Josef Glacier (New Zealand) and Whitehaven Beach (Queensland).
• Scuba diving in Fiji, Zanzibar, Greece, Tahiti (French Polynesia) and the Great Barrier Reef.
• Sailing the Nile on a Felucca and seeing the sunrise over Abu Simbel (Egypt).
• Crossing the Artic Circle at Santa’s Workshop in Rovaniemi (Finland).
