I have been in the Travel Industry for over 30 years. That is giving away my age now isn’t it? I began my industry career when I was 20 and worked in a retail office in South Yarra. When I was 27, I bought Blackburn Travel and successfully ran my own retail office for the next 12 years. I had an incredible team working with me and we made a lot of incredible client connections, many of whom are still booking with me to this day.
In 2006, I sold my agency to focus on having a family. My clients didn’t let me go so easily and before long, I was working from home. I had a short break from July 2020 – July 2023 and have now restarted my love affair with the Travel Industry.

Let’s face it, I am passionate about traveling full stop. However, some places have a special place in my heart.
Tanzania is probably my ALL time favourite place closely followed by anywhere in Africa. This destination is pretty hard to beat whether you intend to climb Mount Kilimanjaro, spot the Big Five whilst on safari in the Great Serengeti or lazing about the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar. The local people will welcome you with open arms; they are the heart and soul of Africa.
Who isn’t passionate about Europe! The culture, the people, the food and the history. So much to see and it’s brilliant all year round. From Summer on the lakes in Italy to Winter in Finland chasing the Northern Lights. Don’t ever think about the fact it’s a long way to go, just think about the fun you’ll have when you’re there. Grab a car, a bike, a Eurail Pass, a River Cruise or just rent a villa somewhere fabulous or even a Yacht in Greece with a bunch of mates or your family and just like that, you’re making lifetime memories!
Vietnam. OOh how love thee! I don’t think you can ever get enough of one country and Vietnam has it all. The beaches are stunning (almost as good as ours), the food is sensational, the shopping is fabulous, the culture is interesting and the people are what make every trip unique. Vietnam is also home to some of the most stunning resorts on the planet.
New York City. This is almost like a second home to me. From running the New York Marathon to sipping cocktails in the Rainbow Room at The Rockerfeller Centre or Ice Skating in Central Park, this city has it all; and then some! I know this city very well and can recommend lots to do that the locals love to do.
Looking for something a little closer to home? New Zealand is on our doorstep and they are our very good friends. They love us and I love them. From Hiking to Skiing, Rail Journeys to Cruising, NZ never fails to disappoint. It’s only a 3-hour flight away, fares can be cheap so you can just about go there for a long weekend.
