In 2012, I applied for a role in the leading travel agency in the industry and got told something I’ll never forget: “Come back when you have sales experience.” I could have let that stop me, but instead, it lit a fire in me. I wasn’t ready to give up my well-paying job, so I got creative. On weekends, I started a party plan business selling candles. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me the sales skills I needed—and it paid off. Six months later, I got a call. When I explained what I’d been doing, they offered me the role!
That determination shaped my career, and I quickly became a “Rising Star.” I was even poached to join the top-performing store in the country, based at Garden City, Booragoon.
Working at Garden City was unlike anything I’d experienced before. We were a team of 19 led by the best boss I’ve ever had, Matiu Rudolph. Together, we were a well-oiled machine, each focusing on our strengths while working towards shared goals. Our customer care was unmatched—our clients returned time and again because they trusted us to make their travel dreams a reality.
As a team, we didn’t just meet expectations; we smashed them. We became the top-performing store in the world, setting records that hadn’t been achieved before.
One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been the travel opportunities. Over eight years, I earned a spot on eight Top Achiever trips, travelling to incredible destinations like Cancun, Singapore, Vegas (twice!), Honolulu, Macau, Berlin, and more.
Beyond those trips, I’ve been fortunate to experience some truly unforgettable adventures. I’ve:
These experiences weren’t just perks of the job—they were invaluable in helping me guide my customers. By experiencing these destinations firsthand, I could offer real insights and recommendations. (I’ll admit, “taking one for the team” wasn’t the hardest thing I’ve ever done!)
After eight years of working for the biggest company in the industry, running my own travel business felt like the natural next step. As I shared in my last blog, getting here hasn’t been easy. But it’s been worth it.
When you book with me, you’re not just booking a holiday—you’re working with a business owner whose reputation is the foundation of their success. I put everything into making your experience seamless, stress-free, and unforgettable. From the moment you start planning to the moment you return home, I’ll be with you every step of the way.
If you’re looking for someone who’s hardworking, well-connected, and dedicated to delivering exceptional service, you’ve found the right person. Travel isn’t just my job—it’s my life. And I’d love to help make your next adventure unforgettable.
