One of the most amazing places I have visited was Peru in 2014. What an amazing place with so much history. Cusco is a beautiful city with a great atmosphere and so much to see and do like walking through the cobbled-stoned streets and markets, visiting the Cathedral. A day trip to the Sacred Valley is a must with a visit to the quaint town of Ollantaytambo and then off to Machu Picchu which is just amazing and hard to describe.
