In High School I was lucky enough to tour Europe with a group of 50 other students and teachers. That amazing opportunity taught me that if you want something enough and you focus your energy on it, you can achieve almost anything. That trip created a passion in me to develop connections with people from all over the world and through that experience learn more about myself.
At 21, I left home alone and went to work in Camp America in Oregon and then travel extensively throughout the US. That joy of meeting other interested and motivated people led me to decide that a career in travel was the only one for me. I attended Auckland Institute of Studies and attained a Certificate in Travel and Tourism and launched my career as a travel consultant.
Over time my passion for different travel experiences has evolved, particularly in line with my own interests at the time and certainly Ski Holidays, Cruising and Group Travel have become something I am passionate about.
What I love the most is hearing about the wonderful time shared with family and friends and the life long memories that are created.
For me its important that your holiday runs so seamlessly that you don’t even notice all the cogs in the wheel that turn to make for a canvas for you to create those perfect moments.
Favourite memories in Australia: Catching carp and laughing til it hurts with my family on my 40th birthday weekend on a Houseboat on the Murray River.
Favourite memories in Asia: Cant choose between my sensational Honeymoon in Phuket, the weekend spent staying at Raffles Singapore and enjoying dinner in a Tiffin, the incredible weekend in the Banyan Tree Bintan in an Oceanview Infinity Pool Villa or cruising in Ha Long Bay in Vietnam
Favourite memories in the US: When my two young children saw the Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland for the first time and the wonder on their faces. Cruising to Mexico
Favourite memories in Europe: Driving over the incredible Gross Glockner Mountain Road in Austria on the most picture perfect day.
Favourite memories in the Pacific: Reading in a hammock on Plantation Island whilst my young children took an afternoon nap.
Favourite memories on a cruise: So many but the spectacular scenery of Alaska would be up there and swimming with the turtles off Lifou, New Caledonia too. But the very best was dancing with all the Disney Characters on a recent Disney Cruise at a Family Dance Party. Unreal!!
