Having lived in London for nearly two years, I worked and travelled extensively throughout Europe and UK during this time – I knew from an early age that my passion was to travel the world. I spent my earlier career at the RACV Club in Melbourne specialising in special events eg. theatre packages, guest speakers and short tours.
After leaving the RACV Club I returned on a contract basis to set up and manage Tours & Travel for their 25,000 members – escorting several group tours each year to a plethora of destinations around the world. I then owned and managed the multi award winning ‘Club Tours & Travel’ office for several years in Melbourne’s CBD specialising in escorted Luxury Group Travel throughout the world – my area of expertise was in organizing tours from initial conception, promoting, marketing, producing a quarterly newsletter, tour presentations, document handouts and personally escorting the tours.
A bonus of escorting these tours was the many wonderful clients that I can say are now friends – the true testament to their satisfaction and enjoyment is the clients that have travelled with me on many occasions and still continue to.
I joined Travel Managers in 2012 as a Personal Travel & Cruise Manager. Travel is my passion – therefore it is great to be able to work in a field that you are passionate about and assist making client’s dreams become reality. When not travelling for work – I am travelling for pleasure.
I have now travelled to over 74 countries and 6 of the 7 continents (Antarctica still to go); and 6 of the 7 New Wonders of the World (Pyramid at Chichen Itza, Mexico to go) and have escorted over 80 tours around the world.
This year I will have racked up my 40th cruise – having cruised the Mediterranean more than 13 times, taken over 15 river cruises through central Europe, France, Russia and Egypt; cruised Alaska’s inside passage several times along with quite a few ocean voyages, New Zealand, Irrawaddy River in Myanmar, Halong Bay in Vietnam and closer to home – the Murray River.
It’s hard to single out a favourite highlight or destination, but would probably rate the Canadian Rockies & Alaska for its spectacular scenery, the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu in Peru, the Iguazu Falls in Brazil/Argentina, dog sledding on a glacier in Alaska, rafting down the Athabasca River in Canada, the wealth of history & scenery in Europe and any type of cruising as top of my list. Having our safari jeep charged by an elephant whilst on a game run in India rates high on my list for an adrenal rush.
My passion for travel along with my hands on experience in cruising, organizing independent itineraries and group tours throughout the world is my areas of expertise, my travel services include:
