I’ve been so lucky over my time in the travel industry to visit 6 of the 7 continents. A few that stand out for me are Africa and tracking down the amazing wildlife, Patagonia with the most eye-catching colours in the scenery, be it the trees, the mountains or the glaciers, Vietnam, with its unique smells, awesome food, gentle people, the frantic pace of the traffic in the cities and the serenity in the country and India, what an amazing tapestry of history, architecture and romance, throw in tiger spotting at Ranthambore National park and it has a little something for everyone. I love that travel is becoming sustainable, environmentally responsible and ethical and that words like this are being used more and more in our industry.
My love of wildlife has taken me to Africa, Sri Lanka, India and Borneo. There is nothing like the feeling of spotting a lion in the distance, after tracking it through the bush for a couple of hours, sitting in a peaceful rainforest waiting to see or hear the rustle of trees, knowing the Orangutans are out there somewhere or driving onto the plains in Sri Lanka and being surrounded by herds of elephants!
My love of food and people led me to Vietnam, where after visiting the county over 10 times, I feel I have a pretty good understanding of how the country works and how to put together the best itinerary to suit your personal needs. I can advise you on where to eat, where to escape the hustle and bustle of the cities and those must-see places that might not be included in a standard Vietnam itinerary.
My love of nature led me to New Zealand. I have visited both north and south islands many times, and I find the culture and history of the Maori people absolutely fascinating, the scenery, mountains, rivers, beaches and thermal springs are just breath taking. Walking along a deserted beach, where you make the first footprints in the sand, makes you feel like the first person to have done so.
